Koosharem

Sweet, sweet Koosharem! (KOO-share-um)

You may think to yourself, “where the hell is Koosharem?!” Well…
Koosharem, Utah, is a small, picturesque town located in Sevier County. Nestled within a high-altitude valley surrounded by the stunning Fishlake National Forest. With a population of fewer than 500 residents, Koosharem is known for its quiet, close-knit community and rural charm. The area offers access to outdoor recreation, including hiking, fishing, and camping, with nearby attractions like Fish Lake, a popular destination for fishing and boating enthusiasts. The town’s name is believed to have originated from a Native American word referring to red clover or squash. Koosharem embodies the tranquil beauty and simplicity of life in rural Utah.

As beautiful as Quarter Ranch is, there is no power or plumbing, so further into town is my families home. With the countless projects, family game nights, barbecues, and four wheeler rides… It is easily my favorite place to escape. Four wheeler rides through the various trails spread through out, or riding them through the trails to end up in Fishlake, is the best way to spend an afternoon. It may be a small town, but the activities seem endless. I feel so grateful to have this place to share with friends, and all of you!
